Increased Throughput and Separation in Nano-HPLC-MS Using a Dual-Gradient Nano-HPLC System and Monolithic Columns

Remco van Soest
LC Packings/Dionex

Capillary and Nano HPLC are used in proteomics because of the tremendous increase in sensitivity compared with conventional HPLC when coupled with mass spectrometry. In this presentation two new products will be introduced that increase both sample throughput and separation power: the Dual-Gradient UltiMate system and our Monolithic columns for peptide/protein separations. The Dual-Gradient system can be used either in parallel mode to increase throughput or can be set up for 2-dimensional HPLC to obtain better separations for samples containing thousands of peptides. Applications showing increased throughput and separation capacity in proteomics will be given.
