Vendor Session - Drug Discovery Technologies & Applications

Using ChemAnalytics to Support the Drug Discovery Process

Kevin Turnbull
Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc.

Two of the greatest challenges in the drug discovery process are the ability to convert data into knowledge and then to distribute that knowledge to the researchers that need it. Often a great investment is made in the instrumentation that discovery researchers require to obtain data, but the supporting software infrastructure is lacking. Such infrastructure is essential to facilitate the rapid interpretation, reporting, and assimilation of the accumulated results. In addition, reliable predictive technology, not commonly utilized, would guide and streamline the experimental design. ACD/Labs has designed a ChemAnalytics™ system to address these issues. It combines powerful computational algorithms with information systems that truly link chemical structure and analytical information in order to improve workflow, increase laboratory throughput, and disseminate results within an organization.
